DCA infuses Christ-centered living, cultivates lifelong learning, and empowers children in the developmental domains of early childhood while meeting the unique needs of the families in our community.
Faith Statement:
DCA is a non-profit, religious exempt school, sponsored by Deep Creek Baptist Church. Our school is operated independently by the Board of Directors who are all active church members. We are a separate business but share the same core beliefs and the desire to share the love of God, connect with one other, and serve those around us. We align our business practices and educational teachings upon Biblical teaching. We believe: • In one God, the Maker of all things. • That Jesus is the Infinite God-Man, the only Savior of mankind. • That the Bible is God's written revelation to man, inerrant in all that it teaches. • In Heaven, Hell, and the literal return of Jesus at a time that God chooses. • In the Trinity ministry and power of the Holy Spirit
Christian Role Model Policy:
Staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and Christ-like manner. We are a Christian program that teaches Christian values. It is expected that all employees are able to teach these values and make every effort to model Christ-like behavior. The Corrective Action Policy will be applied in situations where an employee’s behavior or actions do not align with the goals, philosophy, and expectations of the program outlined in this handbook. All employees are expected to manifest by daily example the highest Christian virtue serving as a Christian role model (1 Timothy 4:12), both in and out of school, to pupils (Luke 6:40), parents, and fellow employees. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from such activities as drunkenness, illicit drugs, and the use of vulgar and profane language. All employees are expected to accept the school’s interpretation of biblical standards for their sexual behavior – that any sexual misconduct—including, but not limited to—premarital, extramarital, or homosexual activity; sexual harassment; use or viewing of pornographic material or websites; and sexual interaction with students is forbidden and violates the employment requirement of being a Christian role model. Such behaviors are grounds for immediate dismissal from their position of teaching or ministering to children. All employees must work to support the goals and function of the programs and seek to maintain good relations with all staff, parents, and administration. Staff members must seek to upgrade skills and abide by the policies and the procedures of the program. Clarification of policies or suggestions for improvements should be directed through the supervisor and/or the director.
